D Y Patil Institute of Management (DYPIM) started operations in the year 2008. The location of the DYPIM is in India’s Maharashtra state, Ambi, Talegaon, and Pune.
In areas of management and technology, the Institute delivers programs to the aspirants. Also, the Center’s objective is to achieve excellence in academics. More so, the DYPIM’s vision is to establish a society that promotes research to create a new world through the development of all.
The DDPYIM has the approval of the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in New Delhi, and the Government of Maharashtra. Apart from that, the Institute’s courses have affiliated with the Savitribai Phule Pune University.
The College offers a 2-year MBA program, with 4 semesters. Moreover, the Institute conducts the 3-year MCA program that runs over 6 semesters.
The DYPIM comes under the DY Patil Group of Institutions that has a rich legacy of over 4 decades. Since commencing operations in the year 1991, the Group has started several institutes. The Group’s objective is to empower the country’s youth population through education.
The Group’s founder is Dr. D.Y. Patil who is an educationist and philanthropist. Also, in the past, he has served as the Governor of India’s Bihar state.
He set up the Group to impart education in various fields, from levels of basic to higher education. As such, at the Group’s institutes, the students have a choice in several domains for pursuing their careers. These include legal studies, architecture, hospitality, and technology. In fact, on the Ambi campus, there are 7 institutes that impart education in several areas.
Also, under the DY Patil Group, there are 3 deemed universities. As such, the Group takes pride in exceeding the norms as laid down by the Government of India. Due to this status, the Group can set up campuses anywhere in India and abroad.
The DYPIM boasts of industry-centered programs to meet the current business requirements. Also, practical training is given importance for which the Institute organizes workshops, internships, and field visits. Further, there are Conferences, seminars, and guest lecturers for the pupils to partake in. Through these activities, the pupils get an opportunity to hone their technical and soft skills.
Furthermore, as part of the Center’s efforts to develop the pupils’ skills, the Institute encourages the participation of the students in a range of extra-curricular, administrative, and academic activities. As such, they hone their communication and other skills to contribute to industries effectively.
Besides, the Institute has a world-class infrastructure. These are inclusive of libraries, sports stadiums (multi-disciplinary ones), laboratories, and classrooms. Moreover, the College has esteemed faculty members who adopt a professional approach; also, some of them are seasoned industry professionals.
More so, at the Institute, the pupils receive training on how to think critically and take decisions accordingly, while understanding the functioning of businesses in the global sphere. Other than that, they are enabled to take effective management decisions through the Institute’s various digital-based and other programs.
The DYPIM library is, also, stocked with a vast collection of journals (national and international ones), e-books, publications, and books. Additionally, the library subscribes to the literary works of renowned Management Institutions. Moreover, there is an e-library where the pupils can access e-journals (such as JGate and EBESCO). The College library contains CD-ROMs and DVDs, covering a range of disciplines from engineering to management.
Besides, the library subscribes to literature from renowned institutes. These include the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the Institute of Electrical Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), among many others.
Also, the pupils have e-library access to the Emerald Host Database, containing journals from around the world.
To give wider exposure to the pupils, the Institute has entered into alliances with reputed universities as well. These include the University of Central Lancashire, the University of Seychelles, Tufts University, and Buffalo University.
The DYPIM admission procedure ensues through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) that the Director of Technical Education (DTE) in Maharashtra conducts. All the same, the admissions are conducted on a merit basis where the candidates’ scores in the entrance exams are assessed. However, the aspirants are to register online to take part in the counseling rounds.
To apply for CAP Counseling, the candidate has to browse Maharashtra DTE’s official website. Here, they must register, following which they receive their login credentials. Then, they have to collect the application form from the facilitation center. Then, after filling in the required particulars in the form, they are to submit the same at the notified centers.
In turn, the authorities display the provisional and final merit list on the official website. There are 3 rounds of counseling where the applicants have to furnish their preferences for courses and colleges. The next step is the seat allotment process, after which the candidate has to visit the allotted college to complete any remaining formalities.
